How Veco increases employee happiness at the workplace

VECO has a workforce to fuel around the clock, 7 days a week. Our Foodies Food Market provided a cashless, unmanned service of healthy food and impulse, day and night. This resulted in a large increase in utilisation rates – and employee happiness.

The Challenge

With no supermarkets or lunchrooms in the immediate vicinity of the company, VECO searched for a flexible, scalable, and cost-efficient F&B solution keeping people close to the workplace to ensure business continuity while enhancing employee happiness.

The Solution

A Large Foodies Food Market was installed at the VECO office in the Netherlands. Providing a wide Albert Heijn To Go range of healthy, nutritious food options, for all tastes, 24/7 available. Covering all dayparts, operated daily, responding to the different shifts. Also, a Lavazza coffee corner was installed in addition to the existing Pelican Rouge coffee corner to widen the employee's choice for his or her favourite coffee flavour. Ultimately free fruits were offered daily.

The Foodies fully blends in with the place and its open character invites people to buy something hassle- free, sit down, relax, take a pause, and enjoy their favourite food with other colleagues. It stimulates togetherness and employee happiness. The assortment is characterized by a high rotation, is adapted to the different seasons, and includes special product promotions to increase consumer engagement, to surprise and delight.
